Live Painting September 2024
On Saturday, September 14th, Alyssa was invited to perform a live painting at Port Credit’s popular Canvas Art Bar. She took a unique approach by creating a streetfront scene of the bar entirely from scratch throughout the evening. From 9 PM to 1:30 AM, Alyssa completed the entire painting in just 4.5 hours! Alyssa has navigated life with type one diabetes for nearly 13 years, diagnosed at age 9, just like her father. This shared journey shaped her understanding of diabetes and its challenges.
Despite initial fears and struggles, Alyssa found strength and resilience in her experience.
Recently, Alyssa embarked on an art project that merges her diabetes journey with her artistic expression. This project will consist of three paintings, each representing a different aspect of her journey and the lessons learned along the way. It holds deep meaning, especially after the recent loss of her father, serving as a tribute to his perseverance in managing diabetes and a celebration of resilience for anyone facing similar challenges.
Through her art, Alyssa aims to inspire hope and representation for individuals living with diabetes, whether they're newly diagnosed, long-time warriors, parents supporting their children, or anyone navigating acceptance and understanding.

2023 Through Alyssa's Eyes
January 2023 - December 2023
Embarking on an exhilarating artistic journey, Alyssa conceived an exciting project – a singular painting capturing an array of inspirations that resonated with her.
Throughout the past year, she meticulously documented fleeting moments and objects that ignited her creativity in daily life. "2023 Through Alyssa's Eyes" served as a true depiction of her year. Featuring both high and low moments, this piece was Alyssa's most vulnerable yet. These snapshots served as reference material for a unique creation on a 24” x 48” canvas, divided into 36 equally sized rectangles. Each rectangle was dedicated to a specific reference photo that she took herself. What added a thrilling dimension to this project was Alyssa's commitment to painting each rectangle, based on its corresponding reference photo, in a single sitting. The process was documented with videos shared the following day on her Instagram.
Reflecting on this artistic odyssey, it feels like just yesterday that Alyssa embarked on the mission to elevate her painting skills. From refining the speed of her brushwork to mastering the art of selecting the perfect subjects, "2023 Through Alyssa’s Eyes" evolved beyond a skill enhancement endeavor. It became a cherished means for her to embrace the nuances of everyday life and discover beauty in the minutest of moments!

Pilot program April 2023 - September 2023
Alyssa was thrilled to receive a prestigious invitation to partner with Xentag, a leading NFC tech company, for an exciting pilot program. Since April 2023, she has been involved in collaborating with Xentag to introduce their innovative NFC chips to the art and creative communities. Alyssa's artistic creations, including paintings and prints, now have custom NFC tags attached, offering enhanced protection, authentication, and an entirely novel way to engage with clients.
By simply hovering their phones over Alyssa's signature on any artwork, patrons gain instant access to exclusive information and receive verification that the piece is an authentic original. This groundbreaking integration of technology and art is redefining the way audiences interact with and appreciate Alyssa's work.
Raw Artist Canada
Toronto Showcase May 2023
Alyssa was hand selected by Raw Artist Canada for a second time, to take part in the Toronto "RAW Concept" showcase this past May 6th, 2023 at the McCormack Warehouse. She displayed a majority of her work, selling poster print reproductions as well as introducing her latest innovative venture with NFC tech company, Xentag.
RAW showcases are live events that feature hand-selected independent artists in all creative genres: visual art, fashion & accessory design, craft, film, tech, music, performance art, hair & makeup artistry, and photography.Their international team works to plan, promote & produce each local eclectic RAW showcase in 70+ cities around the globe. Every showcase event is a snapshot of the creative culture from the area.

Toronto Showcase July 2022
Alyssa was hand selected by Raw Artist Canada to take part in the Toronto "RAW Link" showcase this July 23rd, 2022 at Fountain Blu in. She displayed a majority of her work and sold prints.

Art Exhibit June 2022
On June 2nd 2022, Alyssa took part in the Toronto art exhibit "SuperJuicy". She displayed some of her original paintings and sold prints. This art exhibit featured a variety of new modern artists in Toronto.

Footlocker Toronto
#ForThe6ix Art Competition
In July 2021, Alyssa entered the #ForThe6ix art competition, hosted by Footlocker Toronto. Alyssa's artwork was unanimously voted across a board of judges to be the first place winner of the competition. Her artwork is currently being sold, this October 2021, as 11 x 14 art prints in the Footlocker Power Store at 306 Yonge St. She will be receiving 100 percent of the earnings, as well as having her artwork displayed in the store.

Power Yoga Mural
Hydrangea Wall
Alyssa was approached by Vicki Guido - owner of yoga studio, Power Yoga Canada - Mississauga, to design/ hand paint an original mural on their studio wall. The mural was completed June 2021, and is a homage to Sao Miguel Portuguese hydrangeas - which symbolize the owners father who recently passed away. The mural was hand painted using heavy body acrylic paint.
Kiss Radio Station
Women's Day Artwork
Alyssa was approached by Kiss Radio Station to create three digital art pieces to celebrate International Women's Day 2021. Her artwork was displayed on the Kiss Radio Station social media platforms including: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and the official Kiss Radio Station website (kissradio.ca). The art pieces each display powerful female musicians; Ariana Grande, Lizzo and Taylor Swift.
